Advertisement Notice

 

             Applications as per enclosed proforma are invited from the permanent residents of J&K State (Male candidates only)  for recruitment of posts of Constables in J&K Executive Police (Kashmir Zone) in the pay scale of Rs. 2750-70-3800-75-4400 plus allowances as sanctioned by the State Government from time to time.

2.         District of domicile: Candidates belonging to one District will not be considered for recruitment in another district. The candidates should produce Permanent Resident Certificate issued by the competent authority..

3.         The educational qualification, age and physical standards prescribed for the above-mentioned post are specified as under:-

   i)

 Educational Qualification :-

Candidates must have passed at least Matriculation examination from recognized institution.

  ii)

 Age as on Jan, Ist. 2008:-

Candidates should  not be less than 18 years and not more than 28 years of  age. (The candidates born before 01-01-1980 and after 31-12-1989 shall not be eligible).

  iii)

Physical Standard :-

Height:-     5’-6” and above

Chest:-  (unexpanded) =   32”

            (Expanded)   =   33 ½ “

For the candidates belonging to Leh/Kargil Districts and Gurkha community (State Subjects), the minimum height shall be 5’-4” as per the provisions laid down in SRO-390 of 1988 dated 28-12-1988.

Reservations:- Due representation will be given to the candidates belonging to reserved categories as provided under SRO-294 of 2005, read with SRO-144 of 2008.                                                  

4.         The application forms should be accompanied by attested copies of the following certificates:-

           

a)            Date of Birth Certificate.

b)            Academic Qualification Certificate.

c)            State Subject Certificate.

d)            Reserved category certificate. (if applicable)

e)            Any other Certificates relating to extra co-curricular activity viz sports/NCC/Experience in Police Department(if any).

f)              Four copies of recent passport size photograph.

 

5.         Candidates will be subjected to the following tests:-

 

i)                    Physical measurement test:-      Only those candidates who are found fit     

in physical measurement and possessing other prescribed standards will be allowed to compete in outdoor tests.

ii)                  Outdoor tests:-

 

Event                                      Qualifying time /distance

 

            a)         100 Mtrs. Race                        15 Seconds or less.

            b)         1500 Mtrs. Race                      06 Minutes or less.

            c)         High Jump                               03½  Feet (in three chances)

            d)         Long Jump                              12 Feet (in three chances)

            e)         Push ups                                 (20)

 

 

6-         The application forms should be deposited in the office of respective District Superintendent of Police under proper receipt. Applications forms incomplete in any manner or not filled up properly shall be rejected.

7.         The migrant candidates presently settled out of the valley who intend to apply, shall deposit their application forms, indicating their original residential particulars, in the office of DIG Armed Police Jammu.

8.         THE LAST DATE FOR RECEIPT OF APPLICATION FORMS AT ALL DISTRICTS HEADQUARTERS IS 9th  of August-2008.

 

9.         All the District SSsP of Kashmir Zone will maintain the record of all such applications received from the candidates in the prescribed registers for onward submission to the Recruitment Board before the recruitment process starts.

 

10.       Candidates already in Government service and conforming to the above standards can also apply after obtaining NOC from their employers without which the application will not be entertained. If any candidate, being in Government service and found applying without NOC or without mentioning that he is a Govt. servant, if ascertained later-on, will deny him the right to appointment.

 

11.       Candidates who have obtained any loan/stipend under the self-employment scheme or any other category will be allowed to join only in case they obtain a  clearance certificate from the concerned department/bank to the effect that they have refunded the loan/cleared any other liability.

 

12.       The candidates shall have to appear in the prescribed tests at their own expenses on the date and venue to be communicated by the Police Recruitment Board, through press and electronic media.
