         A dream came true for J&K Police that one of our mountaineer Ram Singh No. EXJ977733 conquered the highest peak of the world Mount Everest today on 22nd May 2008. It is a moment of honour and pride not only for J&K Police but J&K state also. The flag handed over by Sh. Kuldeep Khuda, IPS, Director General of Police, J&K on 19-03-2008 is now furling over the Mount Everest. On this occasion DG Police, IGP Armed J&K and other ranks of J&K Police congratulated the Mountaineer and other crew members of the expedition.

           The Indian Mount Everest North COl Expedition was carried out under the aegis of Ministry of home Affairs Govt of India. The success of the mountaineer has given an impetus for the dream of J&K Police for indigenous expedition to Mount Everest in 2009-10.
